Community

When not in the office, Liz is likely organizing a parkrun, championing Age Concern New Zealand, or cheering on the Business South Cycling Team in the Tour of Southland. Board member, president, ambassador—if it helps the community, Liz is probably involved.

// About Liz

Liz was admitted to the Bar in 2005 and hasn’t looked back since. After nearly a decade at a local law firm, Liz teamed up with Jim Mee, eventually taking the reins of Mee & Henry Law in 2014. (No actual reins were involved, but there may have been celebratory cake).

Pragmatic, down-to-earth, and solution-focused, Liz believes legal advice should be clear, practical, and—dare we say—sometimes even enjoyable. Clients appreciate Liz’s knack for making complex matters feel manageable (and for sneaking in a good analogy or two).

Liz is a foundation sponsor for a cycling team, a parkrun NZ ambassador, and has served on more boards than most people have houseplants. If you need legal advice, a running route, or tips on supporting local events, Liz is your go-to.

Phone System Update

We’re upgrading our phone system this week

At Mee & Henry Law Limited, we’re moving to the VXT phone system to help us work more efficiently and keep better records for our clients.

As part of this change, our calls may now be recorded for file note and record‑keeping purposes.

The VXT team says nothing is more awkward than telling a client “this call is being recorded” and hoping it doesn’t make things weird (right up there with pointing out their fly is undone!). So we thought we’d let you know upfront 😊

If you have any questions or would prefer not to be recorded, please let us know,  we’re always happy to work with you.

Please note our office will be closed for the Christmas break from 12pm Tuesday the 23rd of December 2025 and will re-open on Monday the 12th of January 2026.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
